Attorney Matt Mickle was faced with an audit from his insurance underwriter. He knew he hadn’t done anything wrong, but audits for lawyers, or any entrepreneurs for that matter, can go south because of an accidental oversight or having incomplete or unorganized records.

He knew the importance of the audit and that he couldn’t afford to make any mistakes. Instead of trying to handle the audit on his own, Mickle turned to Kahuna Accounting, the virtual accounting team he works with to organize his firm’s bookkeeping and reconcile transactions.

“The audit went really, really well,” Mickle said, “The auditor asked for the information in three weeks, which seemed like a short amount of time to have all of this prepared. I received an email back that day from Raushana, and she had all of the documents ready in just three business days.”

In addition to having Kahuna Accounting on hand in the rare case of an audit, Mickle is able to focus on his clients and growing his business instead of spending nights and weekends trying to catch up on recording transactions and trying to compile important financial reports. “I wish I would have done this years ago,” Matt says of handing off bookkeeping to Kahuna. “It would have saved a lot of wasted time and heartache!”
